About me
"Reflection became my inner home. It did not remove all the difficulties. It changed how I met them."
Edwina Tadeu
Why I do this work
For me, reflection is a place I return to when I need to understand what I am feeling, recognise patterns or find my footing again. It has helped me meet life's difficulties with greater clarity, honesty and choice. It has also given me the strength to step away from relationships that were no longer healthy and build ones that last.
That is why I do this work. Because I know what reflection can make possible.
Self-Development and Psychotherapy
I offer both because my journey has led me to value both equally.
Long before I entered therapy, I spent years in self-development. It helped me question familiar patterns and make meaningful changes. Psychotherapy later offered something deeper, a space to explore what I carried, how it had formed and how it continued to affect me. Today I return to self-development regularly as a practice in its own right.
I have experienced both as life forces that have supported my personal and professional growth. Both require self-reflection, yet each has its place. Psychotherapy is where my inner world has been held, and self-development is work I do daily on myself.
I aspire to build a practice where you feel that whatever brings you here, and however you want to start, has room.
What Else I Do
I am a PhD researcher at the University of Birmingham. My research explores how people stay connected to themselves while remaining genuinely open to someone else, especially in the moments that test this most.
I am also the founder of Unique Wonder, a company invested in building reflective AI wellbeing tools. People are already turning to AI for support with how they feel. A 2025 study found that more than one in eight young people in the United States had used generative AI for mental health advice (JAMA Network Open, 2025).
Building in this space has drawn me into a bigger question I am still researching: what makes AI genuinely ethical, safe and useful when it comes to emotional and mental wellbeing.
